let's listen Jacques Chessex

We have not finished judging Jacques Chessex.

Here they burn him, there they incense him, and in the middle he vituperates.

The censer gives him pride, the stake a deep sadness, what he considers mediocre or hypocritical enrages him. And that, we do not forgive him.

For him, no extenuating circumstances.

And besides, he does not claim any.

He is what he is, he is as he is.

He is brutal, pugnacious, hot-tempered and narcissistic.

We seek it, we find it !

 

Why don't we leave him alone ?

Who are we for le judge ?

Let's listen to it without a priori. Let's listen to his simple words, his accents “ Roudiens ”, his emotions so close to ours.

Why wouldn't Chessex be brother ?

So what do we have better than him ?

He expresses himself, he disturbs : we hate him.

Did we hear right ? Just listen to his words ?

I offer it to you tonight.
